While I can understand that it may seem annoying (I thought so too, at first), he needs to realize that if they don't do it "wide screen", then the video loses quite a bit of the picture. A movie screen is like this: [_______], and a tv screen is like this: [___]. So, if you put just the amount of picture that fits heightwise on the tv screen, you are missing this much picture (the xed out part): [xx[___]xx]. Learn to like "wide screen" videos!
